This is a high quality breeding of very different lines. The COI is essentially 0, which, biologically (genetically), is a very good thing. This is in contrast to a lot of inbreeding that has taken place in the breed.The potential for a variety of colors exists as Max has thrown the full spectrum of colors and Nizina has the full spectrum in her immediate background.
The purpose of this breeding is to produce good looking, well built dogs of good temperament that have a passion for birds, hunting, and the dog games. I want good looking dogs with a desire for the field that are not intimidated by distance and can take some pressure. The type of dog that is expected is the CH/MH/QA2 type dog and if we are lucky, a dog that can run at the all age level.

Max is a handsome sedge male with excellent field aptitude. He is an excellent marker, birdy, quite tractable and possesses wonderful temperament. His trainer says he is the best marking dog he has ever trained and despite being a dedicated Lab man, got a Max pup as his first chessie. While never run in field trials, his trainer assured me that he would have been successful at least at the Qualifying level.

Nizina is a young deadgrass bitch who has her SH at 2, is on her way to MH next season and has derby points. She is an excellent marker, extremely athletic (look at that vertical leap in the picture below), and is not intimidated by distance. She is very birdy and has been hunted extensively for both waterfowl and upland birds. She comes from a long line of hunters and ancestors who have performed at hunt tests, field trials and in the show ring.
